Saboti Mp Caleb Amisi has hit out at Central Kenya Mps over a letter they wrote to president Uhuru Kenyatta claiming BBI was unpopular in their regions as well as detailing how it was hard to sell ODM party leader Raila Odingas presidency ambition in the region.
Central Mps led by senate majority Irungu Kang’ata wrote a letter to president this week also condemning the president over what they claimed as having not heeded to the cries of leadership in the region over what they claimed they have not benefited from the president a lot despite him hailing from the region.
The Saboti legislator has condemned his central Mps counterparts saying they had forgotten their responsibilities of representing their constituents in the assembly and instead focusing on telling the president who can visit their areas.
Amisi cautioned the leaders over what he claimed as setting the country and locals on tribal lines which the president and ODM chief have tried to end stating that such utterances were not good for the country
“I want to appeal to the central Mps, you were not elected to check your regions on who should visit your areas. Your mandate is representing your constituents in the assembly, let locals reject Odinga in your regions not you”, asserted Amisi.
He however condemned class wars that are being preached by several leaders within the country claiming it as a recipe for violence between the rich and poor.
Leaders led by Deputy president William Ruto have taken the narrative of hustler which means the poor while claiming others as dynasties that is rubbing leadership in disunity.
Amisi claims the hustler narrative in future will not only apply to the top leadership but will affect even local wananchi in villages who will view those who have amassed wealth as dynasties while the have nots as hustlers, claiming such class wars will be difficult to end.
“This class war might move to villages and set wananchi against one another if the preachers of this narrative are not cautious”, claimed Amisi
