The principal cited that some of the new rules effected in the school were the introduction of a biometric gadget for attendance, reduction of entertainment time from four hours to two hours which to him is good because it will allow students have enough time for their studies and prepare well for their examinations.
A section of the students who spoke to journalists in Kapsabet cited hard rules and regulations saying the principal is too hard on them.
“We have come to the Ministry of Education for guidance because the new school rules implemented by our new principal don’t favour us, he is too hard on us and we can’t take it.” They claimed
The County Director of education for Nandi county branch cooled them down gave them time to air out their grievances as he listened to them.
He asked them to go back to the school as he promised to sort out the matter with the school management, thus reminding them to be using open forums whenever there is a problem, instead of walking out of school which he termed it as being unsafe.
The students went back to the school while some were missing because those coming from around the school were believed to have gone home to join their families.
