Lugari MP Ayub Savula has cautioned political leaders against beating the drums of war by uttering abusive epithets against each other.

Speaking in his constituency Savula said high political temperature being experienced as the country nears elections is threatening the national peace and tranquility, a situation that may push the country to post poll skirmishes if not checked in time.

He said the only leader who can calm the country right now is the ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi adding that he is the only leader who is best placed to revive the country’s economy.

Savula who has declared his interest in the Kakamega county gubernatorial seat used the opportunity to seek support for his bid in the forthcoming general election.

He regretted the increasing cancer mortality in Kakamega County, where the needed health care infrastructure is still lacking.

He said the county requires more health infrastructure and skilled workers to make accurate diagnoses and aid in cancer treatment.

The ambitious MP said when he assumes office as the governor of Kakamega County he will not only establish a cancer center in Kakamega town but also set aside a cancer fund that will facilitate free treatment of the disease to ease the burden affected families face.
