Speaking in his constituency, Savula, who has maintained he will be aboard the Amani National Congress (ANC) to retain his parliamentary seat, said Jubilee Party was yet to take hold of the electorate in the constituency and Kakamega County in general.
The MP cautioned his colleagues against switching parties without thorough consultations with voters who sent them to power.
“Voters in the Western region are known for punishing leaders who make political decisions without involving them,” noted Savula, citing former area MP Cyrus Jirongo as one of the victims.
The legislator, however, made it clear that he was closely working with the Jubilee administration for the sake of economic growth and development of his Lugari constituency.
“And this good cooperation has delivered a number of projects in this area,” he stated, pointing out Lugari Teachers Diploma College and Mautuma Medical Training College as key among projects established in the area by the Jubilee government.
Speaking in parables the MP urged officials of the Jubilee Party to continue seducing voters in the area.
A number of MPs in Kakamega County, including Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East), Malulu Injendi (Malava), Bernard Shinali (Ikolomani) and David Were (Matungu) have already decamped to Jubilee Party.
According to political analysts, the electorate in most parts of Western region was still reluctant to join Jubilee Party, with most voters accusing the current established of doing little in terms of economic development of the area.
