A section of Nandi MCAs have come out strongly and condemned Jubilee party vice chairman David Murathe after he dragged Deputy President William Ruto into the scandal surrounding KEMSA and questioned his suitability to be Kenya’s next President. Led by the County Assembly majority leader David Koech, the leaders hit out at Murathe over comments he made about DP Ruto during an interview with one of the TV stations, saying he is tarnishing the DP’s name yet he isn’t mentioned in the scam. Murathe linked one of the Companies mentioned in the scam, Kilig Limited, with DP Ruto. However, he denied any involvement in the scandal, “We want Murathe to desist from undermining our Deputy President and concentrate on his preferred Presidential candidate,” they demanded.
They said that Murathe was misleading the country on the KEMSA funds scandal, yet he was linked to the scandal. They have told the Jubilee party official to issue an apology to the Deputy President adding that he should be accorded respect. “His talks have negatively proceeded to tear apart the party’s reputation and have promoted disunity,” they said angrily.
