Sirisia Member of Parliament John Koyi Waluke has expressed his interest to serve in the Parliamentary Service Commission saying he has seriously lobbied for the post across the several divides in the house.
In an exclusive interview, Waluke said since the house speaker Moses Wetangula is the chair of the Commission; he is only interested in becoming a commissioner saying if he bags it many will benefit.
He added that he has talked to Members of Parliament from different factions as well as party leaders including Wafula Wamunyinyi of DAP party, Raila Odinga of ODM saying he is also intending to talk to Kalonzo so as to have overwhelming support.
However, he disclosed that Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has been skeptical over the issue saying since former Senator George Khaniri held the post before then it should remain in the County saying he does not agree with him.
Regarding the vacant senatorial post yet to be declared in Bungoma, Hon Waluke said they will deliberate on whether to field a candidate or not saying as per now they are focusing on agreeing on house leadership positions.
