Sitikho Ward 2018 KCPE candidates who got chances at national secondary schools have been assured of full scholarships, catered for by the Bungoma County government. The affirmation was made by the area MCA Grace Sundukwa, who urged parents to take care of their children well during the ongoing holiday. She, however, told parents to send bursary applications to her office as she added that she wishes to see all students and pupils who are needy and others who qualify for bursaries access education.
“I would like to thank our Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati for offering sponsorship to children who’ve qualified to join national schools. Therefore, parents, if your child received a national school admission letter, forward his or her name to my office, for we are putting together a list to take to the Governor’s office,” she said.
She used the platform to reveal some of her projects she is initiating in her ward, including building houses for widows and those in need, “This is one of the projects I promised residents during my campaigns, I’ve built 8 houses in my ward I will continue doing so, my target is that by 2022 the project will be fully realized and there would be no grass thatched house in the ward,” she stated.
One of the residents from Milo Sub location who benefited from her house project appreciated her for what she is doing and urged Sitikho people to support her in her course. “Am Fridah Muyundo from Milo I would like to thank our MCA for what she has done for me, I have been staying in a very small house and she saw that and stood with me, she has built for me a bigger one,” she said, urging Sitikho residents to support the MCA.
