A total of Sixteen needy students from across the entire county of Nandi have been successfully selected and awarded comprehensive secondary school scholarships following their exemplary performance in 2017 KCPE exams courtesy if wings to fly.
Speaking during the 2018 wings to fly flag-off ceremony in Kapsabet town, Kapsabet branch manager Reuben Rutto applauded those who participated in the selection process which led to the identification of the most deserving students were selected to join the programme.
He said as a bank they are proud to flag off the pupils as they embark on their education journey that will ultimately transform their future through education. Indeed are delighted to have another class represent our region among those who will form the 2018 wings to fly class.
He cited that this years’ scholars bring the total number of scholars from the region to reach one hundred and sixty eight that is Eighty Four from Nandi hills and another Eighty Four from Kapsabet.
On the other hand, Nandi county deputy governor Dr Yulita Chepotip asked the Beneficiaries to take full advantage of the opportunity accorded. Uphold the hard work and dedication to their studies because they are now in the higher league and more importantly so that they can eventually proceed for higher education either at local or global leading universities like many of the wings to fly who have gone through the programme.
She said will partner with all stakeholders across the county in pursuit to transform lives through education within our communities.
