A somber mood gripped Sango township village, Sango location in Likuyani Sub County after remains of a 34-year-old woman believed to have been killed then set ablaze was found hidden in a cave few meters from Kipsangui River.

They said after failing to return home they reported the matter to security agents and launched a search for her everywhere including distant relatives and family members as well as friends but she couldn’t be traced.
“Since our daughter disappeared we’ve never rested, we’ve always been up and down searching for her in vain,” said Mr. Kadaji.
The body was discovered by young boys who were grazing animals near Kipsangui River on Sunday morning before they informed residents.
According to the deceased’s mother Mrs. Kadaji, she could identify her daughter’s body which had been burnt beyond recognition after seeing pieces of clothing she was wearing the day she left home. “By just looking at this badly burnt body I couldn’t identify it, these
pieces of cloth helped me know this is my daughter’s body because I’m the last person she spoke to before she secretly left,” said Mrs. Kadaji.
The parents have appealed for a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure those involved in the brutal murder of their daughter face the full wrath of the law.
Area acting chief Mrs. Frida Lusweti Shirengo confirmed to have received information about Kendy’s disappearance terming her death unfortunate.
She assured the family of painstaking investigation into the incident saying the way and the place where the body was found clearly indicated she was murdered. “I want to assure you that police will do a thorough investigation to ensure those responsible are brought to book,” said the assistant Chief.
