Southampton’s Wanyama headed to arsenal
Harambee Stars and Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama has once again been linked to move to Arsenal in the summer.
The Kenyan international was reportedly edging closer to signing for the Gunners in January 2016 but the London club instead signed Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny ending any potential move for the Saints’ midfield buster.
Reports have emerged that the Gunners will table a bid for Wanyama in the summer as Arsene Wenger will be rebuilding his team after another disappointing campaign and he sees the Southampton giant capable of busting his squad .
Wanyama has been with Ronald Koeman’s side since 2012 when he signed from Scotland giants Celtic.
He recently returned from a five-match suspension against Liverpool where he featured in the second half as the Saints came from two goals down to be Jurgen Klopp’s charges.
Liverpool and Tottenham are two other clubs reportedly eyeing the player who will be out of contract in the summer of 2017.
West Ham has signed on-loan Argentine midfielder Manuel Lanzini permanently from United Arab Emirates’ side, Al Jazira.
The 23-year-old, on a season-long loan at the Hammers, has signed a four-year deal, joining the club for an undisclosed fee.
The contract starts on 1 July and it is understood there is the option of a further two years.
The Argentine has scored five goals in 18 league matches for the Hammers.
The Hammers are currently placed fifth on the EPL standings and they face Crystal Palace in the next league match.
