As the first term progresses, parents have been called upon to be on the front line in ensuring they clear their kids’ school fees so as not to interrupt their learning activities. Speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony at Fountain Grammar School, after posting good results in last year’s KCPE results, Soy Sambu ward MCA Stephen Wafula Wamalwa said education is the key to success and parents have to fully play their role for achievement.
He disclosed that with the government’s policy of 100 per cent transition they need to double their efforts in ensuring their children succeed in life. The MCA who is also the director of the school challenged the government to provide a conducive environment for investors in the education sector so as to boost education standards. His sentiments were echoed by other stakeholders who attended the event saying all players need to work together in order for the children in the country be great people in future. The top pupil in the school Michael Maisiba scored 440 marks and joined Mang’u high school as others who scored 400 and above marks joined different national schools.
