Among measures that would enhance proper representations, fully participation in law making and improving bills that regards Counties and revenue allocation, the speaker of National Assembly Moses Wetangula has been urged to step aside in the race for the Bungoma Senatorial seat in order for the citizens to have an opportunity to elect a leader of their choice.
This is according to engineer Raidon Munoko, ANC Bungoma County Senatorial aspirant who has urged Speaker Moses Wetangula to distance himself from locals politics and allow citizens of Bungoma County to freely elect a leader of their choice to replace him following his appointment at the National Assembly.
Engineer Munoko who attended Sunday service at Misanga Catholic church in Ndalu-Tabani ward, Tongaren constituency highlighted the need for locals in Bungoma County being given an opportunity to freely vote in a leader who will fully perform his or her duties without victimization so as to ensure quality service delivery to citizens.
He promised if elected Bungoma Senator, he will come up with measures to boost talents among the youths, small scale business people through trade loans, agriculture by enhancing quality farm inputs for good harvests and create more job opportunities for the youths.
Munoko was however saddened with the poor state of some impassable roads in Tongaren with locals complaining over poor infrastructure, besides being sidelined in development agenda by the County government of Bungoma while other areas continue to prosper because of good leadership.
Locals in Tongaren pledged to support him urging him to ensure the constituency benefits fully from the county revenue allocations citing how various development funds have poorly been used to benefits few individuals in the society as the majority suffer.
