Sportpesa jackpot winner Samuel Abisai has revealed that he wants to give back to the society, after winning Kshs 221,301,602 million, “I want to give back to the society,” he said, citing that he was also taken to school by a well wisher from abroad, “It’s my time to give back, at least to sponsor some two or three kids.” The 28-year-old who lives in Eastlands hails from Kakamega and said that it’s still unbelievable that he managed to win that humongous sum of money. “I need to go somewhere and just relax, and truly come to terms with this situation,” he said before being handed the multi-million cheque.
The jackpot winner placed two separate Kshs 100 bets and predicted the correct score of 17 matches, “On Saturday, all the bets were successful, but my friends said, the Sunday games may backfire,” he said. “On Sunday I went to visit my friend, and we started checking on the live score, after the draw between Bordeaux and Dijon FCO, that’s when I started going a little crazy,” he said.
The cash payout is the company’s largest payout and has sent shockwaves even in other countries, and the winner was evidently elated as he was being given the cheque by SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri at the Carnivore grounds in Nairobi.
