Stop using false means to acquire funds- Nangabo
Women Representative for Trans Nzoia County, Mrs Jannet Nangabo has urged women from that county to stop using false means to apply for funds from different treasuries in charge of different leaders of that county.
Addressing women in Gatua in Kiminini constituency Mrs. Nangabo accused the increase of such acts among women who have applied for the funds through her office using false means.
She said that some women have even used such means to get funds meant for old people in the society. She ridiculed the act and promised to deal with the culprits lawfully and warned them to stop that vice.

“I have a group of women here in Trans Nzoia who come in Nairobi cheat me that they are squatters, that have funeral or cheat that I am madam so and so and my colleague has lost a husband, child etc but in real sense nothing like that happened. Those that are using such means please stop from today. Let us be women with our own integrity,” said Nangabo.
“I am telling you whoever will be found taking funds meant for old people and orphans will be dealt with ideally,” she stated.
In another function in Namanjalala in Kwanza constituency Nangabo urged women, youths and men from that region to form groups and apply for funds that will enable them use in development.
“I have told people that during those days many of us were involving in beer brewing because there were no funds like women enterprise funds, youth enterprise funds, uwezo funds even now as your women rep, I have been given affirmative action social development funds meant for women.” She said.
Therefore I urge you to do apply for these funds and you will be given. The funds will help you to make realistic progress in life,” she reiterated.
