Learning activities were paralyzed at Agape in action high school, a private institution in Kamkuywa, Kimilili sub County after students of the school demonstrated outside the school complaining of the management of the institution having transferred the school principal Allan Libusi without consultation.
The students said they were amazed to be introduced a new principal Nation Thuo on Tuesday morning saying they had not been informed that the previous one had been transferred together with his deputy saying it was un procedural.
They disclosed that having been the pioneer head of the institution Mr. Libusi ought to have stayed a little bit longer to make sure the development structures he has implemented are to the latter saying the new principal being posted comes from Nairobi and they don’t have any clue of his track record at his previous school.
One of the students Stella Amwayi said as students they were demoralized after the exit of the principal saying it has negatively affected the learning activities of the school saying they are not ready to go back to class unless Mr. Libusi is brought back.
Efforts to reach the management of the institution proved futile but the area chief Eliud Kisiangani who was at the institution promised the students of having their issue sorted out together with the school management board.

He disclosed that the students issue was genuine since the process of handing over the school to a new principal was not carried out in the open saying they were just told that the former principal had been transferred without even a farewell party.
“The students’ demonstration was peaceful, they did not destroy any property but only wanted their grievances’ to be addressed in the right manner” he said
Mr. Kisiangani said the school is funded by donors from Canada, Uk and Australia saying the issue must be sorted out to help the community continue benefitting from the school saying the institution has been able to transform the lives of the community for a long time.
