Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu has arrived in Kenya for a two-day state visit to Nairobi, her first since she took over the presidency following the death of her predecessor John Pombe Magufuli in March.
She was received by Kenya’s Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.
She immediately headed to State House Nairobi for a meeting with her host President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Wednesday, President Suluhu is expected to address a joint sitting of Parliament.
She is also scheduled to hold consultations at a business forum for Tanzanian and Kenyan business community and thereafter address a gathering of executive women in business.
This is her second foreign visit after she took office as she met President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni last month in Kampala.
