A primary school teacher Sunday night died after he was involved in a road accident at Sifugwe area along Port Victoria-Bumala road in Bunyala Sub County.
Bunyala Sub County police commander Peterson Nyakundi has told journalists that Johnbosco Opiyo, 51, who teaches at Bubamba primary school, was coming from Nambengele shopping center at around 11pm when he failed to negotiate a corner on a motorbike he was riding, “He lost control and fell in a bush near the road and died on the scene.”
His body was moved to Port Victoria hospital mortuary as Nyakundi used the opportunity to caution members of the public to be careful while riding or driving at night especially along the Bumala-Port Victoria road which has many sharp corners and potholes, “The road is very risky especially during this rainy season.”
