More than 300 students of Teremi High School in Bungoma County spent the night in the cold after fire razed down two dormitories on Thursday evening. The cause of the fire, which destroyed property worth thousands including students’ belongings, is yet to be established.
It was noted that the fire started at around 6 pm, when some students had already gone to class for studies and others were winding up their supper. No student was injured in the incident, although the firefighters didn’t reach the school on time. The fire incident comes weeks after a dormitory in Bungoma High School was razed down.
