The late former principal of Moi Girls High School Hellen Cherambos was laid to rest in her Kesogon home village at Aldai in Nandi County. Many eulogized her as firm, strong and principled in what she believed was right especially in her passion for the girl child’s education. While eulogizing her, the Cabinet Secretary for public service Margaret Kobia said the late was a peer of women leadership in the country. She cited that the late always taught that women leaders do not need to shout at each other, saying others should borrow a leaf from her.
On the other hand, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang who presented Deputy President William Ruto’s speech eulogized the late as a pillar in the society whose deeds optimized humility and dedication as she was a role model and a mentor to many. Sang said the late Cherambos had mentored virtues that saw many girls and women anchored in leadership and her deeds in education sector will live forever.
