The Senate Public Accounts committee visited Vihiga County to inspect stalled projects funded by the County Government.
The projects that were inspected are the County Referral Hospital and the residence of the Governor at Sabatia sub county.
The committee led by it’s chair, Migori Senator Ochilo Ayako said the projects have stalled because of the pending bills which were inherited by the current County Government from the previous regime.
He said they have verified the funds that were allocated to the projects were well utilized.
The area Governor Wilber Ottichilo noted that most of the projects stalled because of outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020 adding that they are going to allocate funds to complete those projects.
He reiterated that the pending bills his government inherited from the previous regime have affected the operations of the County Government.
