The Board of Management at Nyang’ori High School has suspended the student who attacked a guard at the School killing him instantly.
The Chairman of the Board Mr. Hudson Aluvanze said the form three student attacked the guard on Sunday evening.
The Board, stakeholders in the Education Ministry and the investigative agencies in the County held a meeting at the School where the decision to suspend the student was arrived at.
Aluvanze noted that the student is being held while investigations are ongoing, adding that a full decision will be arrived at after the exercise.
He urged parents and the community around the Institution to be calm adding that activities at the School are going on as usual.
“We call upon parents to be calm because school activities are going on as normal, and we have set up a counselling team to talk to the students” He said.
Issues of students attacking teachers at various Schools around the Country are on the rise since when Schools reopened two weeks ago after closure 9 months ago due to Covid-19 outbreak.
