Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa, Belgut Mp Nelson Koech, Chesumei Mp Wilson Kogo, and Nandi Senator Samson Cheragei are being detained at Bungoma police station after they were intercepted at Musese with claims of carrying weapons in their cars.
The four were on their way to Chwele after they had escorted the UDA candidate Evans Kakai to vote at Pongola Primary School in West Nalondo ward.
However, they denied the claims saying they had no weapons and it was an intimidation tactic to scare away voters in the constituency not to exercise their democratic right.
Hon Didmus dismissed claims that they were also bribing voters saying the claims are far-fetched and have no base.
Voting is set to end and tallying to be carried out at Mabanga Agricultural Training Center.
