Three people died following a fatal road accident that involved a private vehicle and a motorbike at Peshiebor area near Turbo Girls High School along Turbo–Chapleskei road in Turbo sub county, Uasin Gishu County.
According to multiple sources who witnessed the tragedy, the accident occurred at about 7.40pm on Wednesday when the car driver who was over speeding rammed into a motorcycle which had three people on board instantly killing two while one sustained serious injuries.
The injured was rescued and rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Eldoret in critical condition where he died moments later. The three were riding from Chapleskei heading towards Turbo when the tragedy occurred.
According to the source the car was being driven by a young man believed to be a high school student who is alleged to have taken the vehicle without the knowledge of his parents.
The bodies of those who died on the spot were removed and taken to Chepkaka mortuary as the vehicle was towed to Turbo Riverside police station.
