Three Police Officers from Em’mbali Police Station in Emuhaya Sub County, Vihiga County have been placed under home based care after they contracted Covid-19 virus.

Reuben Kemboi the Sub County Police Boss said they contacted the Ministry of health officials who conducted the screening at the station and the three officers were found positive.

He noted that the whole police station was fumigated and the officers were placed under home based care adding that they will resume their duties after 14 days.

Kemboi noted that activities at the station have been moved to Emakakha police station.

The area Chief has called upon all residents to observe the Ministry of Health protocols to curb the spread of the virus.

“Since Western region has been marked as the hot spot for the Covid-19, we are calling on the residents to be vigilant and observe all protocols set by the ministry of health to curb the spread of this virus,” he said.
