One person died while another is admitted at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Eldoret in critical condition after being attacked by machete wielding gang at Makindu village, Lumakanda location, Lugari sub county.
Confirming the incident Mwamba sub location assistant chief Edwin Nashirobe said the unknown goons invaded Mr. David Lelei’s compound at a round 12am last night and broke into his farmhands’ house and attacked them leaving them with serious panga cuts all over their bodies.
The thugs then stole three sheep and killed one of them by hanging it along the way and left the other near the carcass before fleeing away.
The injured were rescured by officers from Turbo police station and rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Eldoret where they were admitted in critical condition.
According to reliable sources, one of the victims succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The Lugari DCI office has launched investigations into the incident aimed at arresting and charging the suspects.
