Tinderet MCA Kipkirui Chepkwony has confirmed that he is Covid-19 positive and is in isolation receiving treatment. In a social media post, Chepkwony confirmed the statement issued by the Nandi Assembly speaker about an MCA who tested positive, “I wish to confirm the statement issued by the speaker Hon @kiptoojoshua8 that I have tested Covid-19 positive and am on medication and isolated,” read the post.
Chepkwony, who is also the head of the County Assemblies Forum (CAF) had attended an official meeting in Nairobi before testing positive. The assembly was set to resume its sittings this week, but those plans have been shelved. A mass testing exercise is set to be conducted for MCAs.
