Trans Nzoia county to drill water for residents
Trans Nzoia county governor Patrick Khaemba has said his administration plans to drill water to his residents to cater for the residents who don’t have water in the county.
Speaking this while launching his development projects for this year at Kiminini Market, Khaemba said that his administration has already purchased some trucks for drilling the water in every ward.
He said that he intends to also make sure that several homesteads have clean piped water assuring residents that he has put some money in the water ministry that will be used for piping the clean water saying it is in line with the promise he made to the residents during campaigns.

Khaemba said Transnzoia is endowed with the two water towers of Cherangany and Mt. Elgon and he has put programmes in place of making sure people from the county are supplied with clean water that residents have been grappling for long time.
He appealed to farmers in the county to prepare their farms early and make use of their maximum time in their farms so that they plant early during the onset of this rainfall so that the county does not lag behind in terms of farm produce as the county is the bread basket that normally feeds the whole nation.
The governor called upon them to make use of the available fertilizer which the county has provided them at cheaper prices so that they start planting early.
The county chief used the opportunity also to launch some fertilizers that he has procured at the sub county and appealed to farmers to make use of their time in buying it which he said is cheap.
Earlier on the personal Assistant for Kiminini MP Godwin Masibo appealed to the Governor to make replacements in the CEC dockets that fell vacant following some two CEC’s one from Agricultural ministry which was headed by Andrew Wanyonyi who got opportunities in other sector and resigned from the docket as well as the one for Health that was headed by John Lewis Ndombi who is suspended following some allegations of corruption in his ministry and up to date has not been filled.
He said that since last year where the CEC’s left their offices nothing tangible has been forth coming and respective ministries has been performing poorly because of the vacuum in the ministries which should be filled immediately in order for the residents of the county to be served better.
He further more appealed to Governor Khaemba to take charge and make sure that there was no Transportation of people from outside this country in order to get land within this county
