Trans Nzoia Deputy Governor Dr. Stanley Tarus has expressed concerns with residents who’ve loosened their grip on keeping the Health Ministry’s directives to contain the spread of the Coronavirus. He has observed that many residents have once again adopted a care free lifestyle, ignoring the fact that they need to adhere to the protocols issued by the government.
“We should know that observation of the guidelines like social distancing is still in force since the pandemic is still with us,” he said. Speaking during the launch of a disinfection booth donated by Mini Bakeries, Tarus challenged residents not to take comfort in the fact that Trans Nzoia has only recorded 1 Covid-19 case, “The County government of Trans Nzoia has been on the forefront in the fight against the spread of the virus. We call on all residents to adhere to laid down guidelines,” he said.
The County’s Health CEC Clare Namenge said the administration will keep working with its partners to ensure the pandemic is kept at bay in the County. “We are grateful to business partners who have joined our efforts of combating the spread of the virus. This is the time we need to come together to
assist the community,” she said.
