Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba has supported President Uhuru Kenyatta’s stance on corruption, and urged him to ensure the corrupt government officials and graft culprits are dealt with. Speaking during the 55th Madaraka day celebrations in Trans Nzoia, Governor Khaemba urged the media to be objective when it comes to covering issues dealing with corruption, adding that his administration will ensure all corrupt officials in the County are dealt with.
The Trans Nzoia Governor urged residents to live in peace and unity, and emulate the famous handshake between President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, “This County is a cosmopolitan County and we need to live in harmony,” he said.
The County boss also said that his development agenda was on course and that he’ll ensure he deliver his targets for the residents.
On his part, Trans Nzoia County commissioner Erastus Mbui gave a shoot to kill order to police officers in a bid to deal with robbers who have been terrorizing residents within the County, noting that some robbers own firearms which they use to injure residents.
Furthermore, he said the County government will continue the war against illicit brew, adding that the administration won’t condone the trade.
