Trans Nzoia residents have been urged to keep observing the Covid-19 infection prevention directives. The message was widely emphasized on Tuesday at the funeral of the late William Kundu, formerly a Kenya Seed Company employee and part of the board of several schools in the region. The late Kundu succumbed to the Coronavirus. The burial took place at his home in Bikeke, Sirende ward in Kiminini constituency, Trans Nzoia County.
Family members eulogized the deceased as a loving husband and father who wanted the best for the family. The widow, Elizabeth Kundu, said despite his loving stance, he was a disciplinarian who made ensure the family followed the right path and also protected them all the time, “My husband was a loving husband and father who made sure we don’t lack anything as he provided for us with a good heart, as well as a great farmer,” she said.
Several leaders at the function led by Kakai Bisau, Sirende MCA Alfred Weswa appealed to residents to observe the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 directives. They acknowledged the fact that the disease has had a negative impact in society, with Bisau disclosing that several leaders are in quarantine due to contracting the virus, including MCAs and business people.
