The secretary general for United Democratic Party (UDA) Veronicah Maina has assured Nandi residents that the party will conduct free, fair, accountable and verifiable party nominations in the coming general elections.
Speaking in Kapsabet during the official opening of United Democratic Party (UDA) office, Maina said there will be no favours at all from the party hence urged aspirants to seek for votes from the electorates by selling their agenda correctly.
“UDA nominations will be free, fair, accountable, verifiable and with much authenticity.” She affirmed.
She revealed that no one will be favoured or given direct nominations by the party saying that UDA is a party that does its work democratically reminding those dreaming of such a thing to occur that they are very wrong.
On the other hand, the Deputy governor for Nandi Dr Yulita Mitei echoed the UDA secretary general’s sentiments saying that some people want to reap where they didn’t sow thus urged all the aspiring candidates to look for votes from the electorates as nothing comes on a silver platter.
“People should work hard to achieve their dreams.” She stressed.
The deputy governor also appealed to Nandi residents to uphold peace and unity during and after the coming general elections for the prosperity and development of their Nation adding that as Nandi leaders they will ensure peace prevails.
