The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party nomination for Member of Parliament in Nandihills constituency has been postponed to a later date following the demise of one of the aspirant Wesley Kogo who died in a road accident last week.

This is according to the Deputy President’s communications Director Mr. Emmanuel Talam who revealed that the nominations for the said position was moved to 19th April in order to give Nandihills electorates ample time to mourn and bury their loved departed soul, who was famous in politics.

Speaking in Taito in Nandihills constituency during the harambee drive in aid of the deceased funeral arrangements, Talam said the party decided to postpone the party primaries in that area after UDA MP aspirants appealed for it to mourn their colleague.

Wesley Kogo was a young, energetic man with political aspirations and had shown interest to run for Mp Nandihills constituency where he had gained a lot of momentum and posed a threat to the incumbent MP Alfred Keter but unfortunately his dreams were shattered through a tragic road accident.

The deceased was a BOM Teacher in one of the schools in the region and has left behind a widow and a child.

UDA party primaries will be conducted on Thursday and leaders have called upon the party management to ensure that the exercise is free and fair.

Some of the UDA contestants in Nandi have complained about the party saying it seems there would be no transparency in the party nominations at all thus urged the party leader Dr. William Ruto to assure them that party nominations slated for 14th April 2022 would be transparent.
