United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has kicked off a rigorous recruitment exercise that aims to bag more than thirty thousand members from the vast Bumula constituency ahead of the 2022 general election.

Speaking at Kimaeti during the party coordinators meeting, Bungoma County coordinator Mike Malomba said as a young party they are strategizing on having many members in the County to make it strong.

He added that they are focusing on recruiting members from the polling centers saying they have digitized the process and are aiming to have a transparent process that will attract as many members as possible.

Bumula constituency representative Andrew Wakhuleka said they are committed to the task ahead saying they have to ensure many people join the party.

He added that the ultimate goal is to have the deputy president William Ruto ascend to power in the forthcoming general election saying as foot soldiers of the party they are up to task.
