Ford Kenya has decided to take action against members who openly sided with Jubilee. The members could be expelled from the party, and Moses Wetangula confirmed that a disciplinary committee has been put in place. The victims are likely to be Turkana Senator John Munyes, Turkana East MP Nicholas Ngikor and Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani, the three accused of continued defiance against the outfit that helped them triumph in 2013. “We have resolved that we create a disciplinary committee that should look into the conduct of some of our members that
“We have resolved that we create a disciplinary committee that should look into the conduct of some of our members that has been contrary to the constitution of Ford Kenya”, said Khalwale. This comes after John Munyes’ selection as part of a campaign team by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Addressing a press conference in Nairobi after the Ford Kenya party management committee meeting were Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwalwe, Secretary General Eseli Simiyu and Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa.
According to Tongaren MP Eseli Simuyu, the committee will issue a seven-day notice to members to appear before it and will be chaired by Justice Richard Kuloba.
ODM has so far expelled some of the rebel members, but the process of delisting the targeted leaders has been put on hold following an appeal by the leaders.
