An unknown man has been found dumped at Chepkorniswo area along Kapenguria-Lodwar highway. The person who was dumped by the roadside around a week ago looked weary, with wounds on his legs, barely conscious and he could not be able to walk around.
The victim was found lying in the bush covered with a blanket and beside him, a pair of gloves were found. An eye witness, Naomi Chepurayi, she said the person was dumped at the place by unknown men boarding a probox and later sped off leaving the man in the bush.
Another passer-by who sought anonymity said she has been passing the man every day and whenever she tried to talk to him the man isn’t in a position to talk. “As neighbors, we’ve been bringing food to this man. He doesn’t talk and he can’t walk, he just eats and sleeps. We don’t know his whereabouts,” she said. She added that one of the neighbours donated a blanket to him and have consulted the area chief but no one has come to take him.
Cases of people being dumped along the road in West Pokot have been rampant with the recent case being the former Kapyego MCA who was found dumped at Kamatira forest one month ago.
When contacted, the Kipkomo sub county officer commanding division Mr. Mohammed Kofa said police officers are investigating the matter and the person has been taken to Ortum Mission Hospital for a medical checkup.
