The management of Ondoti A.D.C Primary School in Ndivisi Ward, Webuye East Constituency, is seeking urgent assistance after a heavy rainstorm accompanied by strong winds blew off the roofs of three classrooms. This devastating incident has forced pupils to attend classes under trees, causing significant disruption to their learning.
According to Maurice Mutali, the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) chairman, the situation has left many pupils in distress. The school community is now appealing to the relevant government agencies and well-wishers to step in and help restore the school’s facilities.

Parents have expressed deep concern over the disruption, especially with national exams approaching for Grade 6 candidates. They fear that their children’s education will be severely impacted by the current learning conditions.
Some parents have also lamented that the area has been neglected in terms of development, attributing this to its location at the border of Kimilili and Webuye East constituencies. They hope this disaster will bring attention to the challenges faced by the school and the wider community.
