Vihiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo has urged the judiciary to set aside funds for the construction of a law court that can serve the people of Emuhaya and Luanda Sub Counties.
Speaking while presiding over the official launch of Vihiga law courts, Ottichilo said residents from those areas are forced to seek justice services from Vihiga, Maseno and Kisumu law courts.
He said the County Government is ready to partner with the judiciary in setting up law courts in that area to serve the locals.
“We are serving the same people and we should work together to ensure residents get good services, and that’s why I am pushing for the construction of a law court in the area to serve residents” he said.
The County Boss called on residents to explore other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in handling cases and disagreement as a way of de-congesting the courts.
