Hundreds of people living with disabilities from across Bungoma County were handed early Christmas packages by Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, at Mabanga FTC, who led others to mark the International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
In his remarks, Wangamati said people living with disabilities will be at the center of operations and administration of Bungoma County. He added that they’ll be factored in the current and future budgets to finance a number of initiatives so that they are fully catered for.
“Already, PWDs, women and the youth have been offered access to at least 50% of tender opportunities by my administration, and I want to assure you that PWDs will be considered for the recently advertised Jobs for village administrators,” Wangamati said.
