President William Samoei Ruto has come out blazing hot against the individuals whom he dubs saboteurs of government programs while using the judiciary.
The head of state, while addressing mourners at a funeral service for Michael Maigo Waweru, the father of Senator John Methu, said that some individuals have taken some judicial prisoners, and some officers are being used to frustrate the government effort to progress the county, taming the effort as theft of public resources.
The president said that it’s unreasonable for a few individuals to have their way at the expense of the public.
“I think we will have to have a discussion with those who go to the courts to frustrate development in the country. We need to ask questions. Its unaccepted that few individuals bribe the courts to stop the development agenda.” The president uttered.
Of late, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance brigades have been calling out the Head of State for his utterances, taming it as carelessness from the top country leader.
Busia Senator Okiyah Omtata has always found himself on the wrong side of the government whenever he challenges the government’s actions through the judiciary.
“We are a democracy. We respect and will protect the independence of the judiciary. What we will not allow is judicial tyranny and impunity. That will not happen,” said President Ruto.
