Residents of Wabukhonyi and Misemwa Sub-locations were greeted today to a whirlwind of development as their Area Member of Parliament, Hon. Martin Pepela Wanyonyi, toured the region, bringing with him much-needed goodies and vital development projects.
The day began with the official launch of the periodic maintenance of the Wabukhonyi-Misemwa Road. This long-awaited project will ensure smoother travel for the local residents, enhancing access to essential services and boosting the region’s connectivity.
During the tour, Hon. Wanyonyi also announced the handing over of a site for the construction of three new classrooms at Wabukhonyi Primary School. This initiative is part of the MP’s ongoing commitment to improving education infrastructure in the constituency. Additionally, funds were allocated for the construction of two new classrooms each at Ondoti ADC and Sinoko PCU Primary Schools, further expanding educational opportunities for local children.
In a spirit of community engagement, Hon. Wanyonyi also revealed plans for this year’s Jamuhuri Day celebrations. The event will be held at Misemwa Primary School, where teams from Misemwa and Sinoko PCU will face off in friendly competitions, adding excitement and fostering unity within the constituency.
