West FM and Mumbo FM Salaams clubs members have been urged to register for NHIF. Speaking after giving out 20 iron sheets bought by Malaha Mumbo Salaams club to support one of the members, mama Judith Wamalwa from malaha village in Matulo ward, the group chairman Joseph Waswa said that registering for the health cover and getting the NHIF cards is very important and comes in handy, especially if sickness strikes unexpectedly, one can still get treatment.
He urged members under his Salaams club to work together with the leadership to ensure the targets set at the beginning of the year are achieved, despite the challenges posed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
On her part, mama Basiliza Kituyi urged ladies to engage in productive business that will boost their families’ income. She said it’s high time women come out and claim their rightful positions in society without few. She also encouraged parents to take good care of their children who are still at home, stating that in Bungoma, many school going girls have been impregnated, something that will negatively impact their academic focus.
Mama Judith Wamalwa, the beneficiary, appreciated West Media for bringing the fans together and thanked Malaha Mumbo Salaams club for the kind gesture after her house was destroyed by the ongoing heavy rains. She also requested West Media fans who had not joined any group to join so that they can work together and transform lives through projects.
