West Media fan groups have been urged to prioritize their children’s education and actively participate in their success. This message was delivered by Zippora Wasilwa, Director Malomonye Academy Primary School during a special event organized by NDIMI CBO at Lutacho in Ndivisi Ward, Webuye East Constituency.
The event, which marked the launch of a new 100 seater tent and 100 chairs, included a special recognition for NDIMI CBO’s chairperson, Ben Kisiang’ani, for his unwavering dedication to the group’s numerous projects. Mrs. Wasilwa emphasized the importance of education, urging all members to ensure their children receive the support they need to thrive in school.
Leaders from other Mumbo CBOs, including Levi Karani of Webuye East Mumbo CBO and David Makhanu of Webuye Mumbo CBO, praised NDIMI CBO for their remarkable work and encouraged other groups to follow their example. The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration among community groups to foster positive development.
Hosea Wenyaa of Naitiri Mumbo CBO challenged them to join Naitiri Sacco which is one of their projects to enable them save and take loans.
NDIMI CBO is not only focused on community development but also directly impacts the lives of its members. The group regularly pays school fees for its members’ children, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their education. Additionally, NDIMI CBO has initiated several projects, including buying goats, cows, and household items for its members to improve their livelihoods.
Benedetta Soita, the Secretary of NDIMI CBO, shared the group’s decision to honor their chairperson for his hard work and commitment. She encouraged others who are not yet involved in Mumbo FM groups to join and contribute to their collective growth. Ben Kisiang’ani, along with his wife, expressed deep gratitude for the recognition.
Mrs. Soita also took the opportunity to commend West Media for its educational programs, noting that the advice and guidance shared by presenters have greatly benefited their listeners.
The members of NDIMI CBO, led by Ben Kisiang’ani, also extended their appreciation to the area’s Member of Parliament, Martin Pepela Wanyonyi, for providing additional funds that made the purchase of the new tent possible.
