West Media fans have been urged to join Salaams Clubs in order to uplift each other economically and promote unity and peace. Speaking during the merry go round for Machewa West Fm Salaams Club at Lukhome PAG Church in Trans Nzoia County, Silas Omanyo chairman for Trans Nzoia Umbrella urged all fans to join registered Salaams Clubs since through that it will be easy to be identified and work together as a team towards achieving their umbrella’s goals.
“It is my prayer and plea that if you are here and you are not in any registered Salaams Club please do so and you will realize the benefits of being in a group,” stated Omanyo. Fans through Uncle Martin Sikuku chairman for Machewa West FM Salaams Clubs also thanked the services given by West Media and showed the pride they have for being associated with it.
“West Media has really helped us grow; we have come from far when we realized that West Media is a place to be we have really done many projects as a result of being part of West Media Company. If you have a tendency calling the studio but you aren’t in any group, nobody will stand with you when you are experiencing challenges. There are projects we are doing as Machewa Salaams Club; poultry keeping, we have bought 70 plastic chairs and our aim is to have 400 chairs, therefore we are progressing well. In future we are aspiring to start a catering team and I am sure we will through the co-operation of our members. We are also giving loans to our members in our table banking project,” said Martin Sikuku.
West Media was represented by Mfalme Kabaka, Samuel Oyondi and Victoriah Nang’oni Sindani who thanked fans for being loyal listeners and viewers of the company’s products and thanked them of their support and standing with the company all the time. They too urged them to stay home with their children during this long holiday so that they teach and guide them on the values expected out of them and help them desist vices in the society.
“Sincerely speaking, Trans Nzoia was the first umbrella to start Salaams Clubs when West Media began its services with only West FM radio. Right now we have West TV and Mumbo FM, therefore it’s my plea that you continue supporting your chairman,” said Kabaka.
“Schools have closed and as parents, you should stay with your children at home, don’t allow them to pay visits to your relatives because December holidays are never good for them when they are away from us, let’s keep them at home and learn their trends. Teach them what the society expects from them and through this, they’ll grow up to be responsible and obedient citizens, keep them engaged with domestic chores so that they don’t become idle,” said Nang’oni.
Trans Nzoia Umbrella has 24 registered Salaams, 1 non- registered and 11 registered which are not launched but there are plans to be launched soon.
