West Media fans have been urged to join Salaams Clubs in order to benefit from the support, including during times of bereavement. Speaking during the burial of Mzee Stephen Makokha, father to Beatrice Makokha, a Buheri West FM Salaams Club member in Wekelekha in Musikoma ward, Bungoma County chairman for Buheri, Alfred Khajonga thanked West Media for supporting them and he also urged fans who haven’t joined the Salaams clubs to join existing groups or start new ones.

“We are here today because of the burial of the father of one of our members; I would like to thank all those who have come here to join us during this time of grief. My special thanks go to West Media for standing with us always and all fans from different Salaams Club, may God bless you,” said Khajonga.

Beatrice Makokha appreciated the members of the group who made it to their home to condole with her and she thanked West Media for being supportive since she lost her father up to the day of burial.

“I take this chance to thank West Media Company for standing with me since the time Mzee passed on, they have been so supportive and close. To all members and fans of this company let us all remain united so that when one of us is in need we’ll be there for him or her,” She expressed

 West Media was represented by Mrs. Violet Murumba, Samuel Munai and Victoriah Nang’oni who urged fans to work together and promote unity among themselves.
