West Media fans Urged to observe COVID-19 regulations.


West media fans and Mungatazo salams club members have been urged to observe the regulations put up by the ministry of health in order to curb the infection of coronavirus whose third is said to be more dangerous.

Addressing the salams club members during their county merry-go-round at Mabatitatu village, Soysambu-Mitua ward in Tongaren constituency, county fans under Bungoma umbrella Mr. Edward Simiyu said everyone’s health is important and since Covid-19 virus is becoming increasingly dangerous, strict measures should be put in place by every member whether at home or during the weekly meetings, saying the regulations put by the ministry are simple to observe and cautioned that he will not allow meetings that will not meet the threshold of Covid-19 rules.

He said in any meeting there should be running water, adherence to 1.5 m social distance regulation, members should not exceed fifty and always have masks well put covering the mouth and nose.

He also encouraged groups to invest in viable projects and promised that soon, he will be working closely with cooperative officers and agribusiness groups to sensitize groups in terms of agribusiness and how to come up with SACCOs that will attract more funding from non-governmental organizations and governments so as to boost their income-generating activities and asked many to utilize the current rains to plant crops that will help families and requested them to do diversification especially those with big land.

Mama Catherine Merrian asked parents to take care of their children especially girls while at this during this long holiday, adding that Bungoma has been on the country map over many years for early pregnancies which have affected their education.

Mungatazo chairman, Douglas Simiyu promised to utilize well money received saying they had planned to buy tents and chairs for hire adding that it will help in income-generating activity for the group and asked members to cooperate with his leadership to make sure that their dream is met in order to change positively the lives of the members and their families at large.
