West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo has condemned NASA leader Raila Odinga’s remarks on remodelling NASA coalition to a resistance movement.
Speaking to the press in Kapenguria, Governor Lonyangapuo accused the opposition leader of trying to take the country back to dark days where Kenyans didn’t have a say concerning the leadership of the country.
The Governor has urged Raila Odinga to withdraw the statement and apologize to Kenyans. “A rebellion is like arming Kenyans to cause havoc in the country,” said Lonyangapuo.
He said Raila wants to get power through bloodshed. “I was surprised to hear an elder like Raila talk matters treason on national television,” he said.
He said NASA leaders should desist from using Kenyans to gain and achieve their malicious and selfish agenda, and urged them to respect the constitution and the full ruling made by the courts concerning the elections.
He further faulted the opposition leader for shying away from the ballot, and instead opting to take an underpass, “Raila’s politics is heading to a state of oblivion, and thus, he is frustrated,” he said.
