Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has been ousted as the Ford Kenya party leader and Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi has taken over the party leader position in an interim capacity. The party cited gross misconduct among others as reason for his removal.
Speaking after a party National Executive Council meeting in Nairobi, Tongaren MP David Eseli said Wetangula has been dismissed on account of gross misconduct, moral impropriety, and violation of the party Constitution. The national organizing secretary Chris Mandu Mandu has also been dismissed from his position on account of gross misconduct, moral impropriety, and violation of the party Constitution, and Josephine Maundu has taken his place.
