Changing world has brought about many things single mothers being one of them. It was something untold to hear a single mother in the history of our ancestors, nowadays most women opt staying single and have no plans to marry but have children. Here are the reasons.
Need happiness: Women think that marriage is all about happiness therefore waste time looking for a person who will give them happiness forever forgetting that marriage is not a bed of roses. It has its own ups and downs and one should accept this when comes her way sometimes in her life.
The independent life: Some women want to lead their own life, they don’t want to be attached to a man and be called Mrs. so. Marriage comes with responsibilities that can prevent one to do some things therefore the independent woman will prefer not to marry to be able to accomplish their desires.
Personal freedom: They wake up one morning with their own schedule do and go wherever they want i.e. attend a friend’s birthday party, wedding and cocktails without being directed by anyone in the name of a husband.
Achieve personal goals: Most ladies don’t look on marriage as a priority because they have their careers to pursue and achieve their goals before they look for a man or perhaps not.
Waiting for Mr. Right: Some women stay single even up to late 40’s in the name of waiting for a man who she will be truly in love with.
No commitment/ don’t want to settle: Some women want to be attached to as many men as they can. This is due to desire of money and all that men have.
Most women want to be attached to men but however much that man proposes to her the lady turns down marriage proposals reason she wants to date have fun do all sorts of romance with men but doesn’t want to enter into a committed relationship because the relationship will not last anyway.
Lack of getting a man who is ready to settle: One can be attracted to a man gets infatuated with him but yet this man will never settle as he is kind of hit and run guy.
Very choosy: Most women want many who have already established for instance those that have invested i.e. have their plots with mansions already built, drive expensive cars etc. While on these they get their time wasted without getting a man to marry them.
Date young boys: Being in a relationship with young boys will waste one’s time because in one way this boy will not marry you he will end up looking for a young girl to marry and drops you.
Disappointments from past relationships:Most people have been hurt from past relationship therefore due to painful experiences, they have developed phobia to enter into another relationship because these men will take advantage of them and use them then lastly dump them again.
Fuss: Women feel that they are no descent men out there or good ones have been taken. They want to settle in relationships that are rewarding. They want to feel happy therefore when they think that good men are taken they find it difficult to choose on the type of men they want.
Low self esteem:Women who feel that are fat, too old or are ugly think that no man is not interested in them therefore they develop that attitude that no man admires or have passion or romantic feelings for them.
Fears of competition: This is when a woman gets a man who she loves and perhaps the same man is dating a bit younger girl than her so when the two meet the young girl will utter statements like you are too old for this, your time passed go home and take care of your grandchildren. So she decides to drop this man thus remain single.
Capabilities to nurture her children: This is when a woman has a job that will enable her cater for everything without someone’s support. For instance pay rent, pay school fees for the children she bore from other men at the same time cater for medical bills etc.
Devotion to God:There are some women who are not married because they are dedicated to do God’s work.
Dating a married man: There are men who are already married and don’t have plans to have more than one wife so when a woman gets attached to such a man is like she wastes her time because they will never settle as husband and wife.
Sometimes such a man can never be open and tell this woman that he is married so they go ahead even sire children together but will never marry her.
