Youths have been told to distant themselves from political leaders who want to use them to gain popularity through engaging them in activities that might endanger their lives by going against the constitution.
This was stated by Doris Wesechele, pastor for women USFW in Khalala church in Webuye West Constituency Bungoma County while she was giving Sunday sermon to members of Khalala Friends church.
“Many youths have lost their lives through street demonstrations, some misleading politicians trick them to engage in unlawful acts which force the law to comprehend them and prosecute them,” she said.

She therefore urged youths to stop being misled by politicians instead spent their time on doing things that may benefit them in future.
“We have our youth who lose lives and get injuries in demonstrating on streets, why can’t you use this time you are wasting in doing vital things in your lives?” asserted Mrs. Wesechele.
She accused politicians for using youths to gain popularity, a thing she warned youths to cease from.
She furthered her sentiments that politicians that misuse youths meet, eat, talk and laugh together and when they leave each other pretend to speak ill against the other with intention of splitting them and causing chaos for their benefit.
“These politicians you are supporting and following use youths to gain popularity. The youth follow them blindly and turn enemy to each other which is very unfortunate,” she claimed.
“You remember when they met, sat, ate and laughed together? That is what happens when they are together and when they come out and meet Kenyans they pretend to be enemies and from their talking they set youths to turn against each other,” she said.
Concerning IEBC
On the issue of IEBC Mrs. Wesechele said that it were better for our leaders to use proper way to solve that crisis than going on streets to demonstrate since it will never give a solution.
“These leaders should use proper ways to solve the issue of IEBC that has been there for long instead of mobilizing youths to go on streets,” she affirmed.
As the country is heading to the general elections Mrs. Wesechele warned youths from accepting to be bribed to cause chaos in any function and told them that a good leader is the one who is anointed by God but not the one who cause people to shed blood.
“Stop being bribed with Ksh. 50 or 100 to fight your brother, embrace peace remembering that a good leader comes from God and however much you fight, bear in mind that a leader that gets power through bloodshed is not God’s anointed,” she reiterated.
