Paul Wanyonyi Member of county assembly of Matulo ward in Webuye town has urged youths across the nine constituencies in Bungoma County to nature and preserve their God –given sports talents.
Wanyonyi said that the youths can make a living out of money earned through competitive different sports.
The MCA said that most of the millionaires in rift valley counties are young youths who have made it in life through sports like athletics.
He said that most if the players who play for the Kenyan football, basketball, rugby and volleyball teams in international games earn some good income that sustains then and their families.
“MacDonald Mariga, Victor Wanyama, Paul Kiongera who hails from here in Webuye and many other are abroad because of sports which in today’s world is well paying and treated as a profession,’’ he said.
He said with the high cases of unemployment among the youths the counties can cheap in to support youths realize their talents by funding there clubs.
